Adult League Team Standings
Kevin Brooks, Hockey Director
As a native
of Stow, MA, Brooks began his high school hockey at St. Johns of Shrewsbury,
whereby he finished 5th in Division I scoring during his Sophomore year. He then
moved onto prep school hockey at Lawrence Academy in the Independent School
League, where he led the league in scoring during his Senior year while winning
a championship. He was voted to the all-league team during both his senior and
junior year.
Upon
graduation from High School, Brooks headed out west to play in the USHL for the
Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. In his first campaign with the team, he was second on
the team in scoring, third in penalty minutes, and voted "Rookie of the Year".
In his second year, he represented the Rough Riders as team captain, and was
voted "fan favorite". His hard work earned him a scholarship to Providence
College.
After one
season at Providence, Brooks transferred to Curry College in Milton, MA. His
sophomore season as a Colonel helped the program earn an automatic bid to the
NCAA Div III nationals and was voted assistant captain. However, due to injury,
Brooks was forced to retire. Most recently Kevin has coached the Walpole Express
Junior A and B teams. During his two year span the Junior B team was ranked
number 2 in the country and the Walpole Express won the college award for
placing the most players in college. During the past two years Brooks has also
worked as Director for RBHockey one of the east coasts top hockey school.
Currently resides in Cedar Rapids with wife Kathy Roderick.

The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena offers
women stick times on Saturday
mornings. During this time, players can
practice shooting, passing,
stick handling and skating skills.
Cost: $11, Goalies- $5.50
Adult Pick-Up Hockey
For players who do not want to participate in a structured league or
want
to supplement their ice time and hone their skills!
Cost: $12
Adult Pickup Punch Cards
Adult Pickup/Stick time
punch cards are now on sale! Each card will
offer 16 sessions and will be
accepted at any adult pickup or stick time
session.
Cost: $160
Full Equipment Required. Limited to 30 skaters. Four goalies skate for free!

Youth Instructional Program
A great
introductory program for beginners teaching the fundamentals of hockey. During
the duration of the program the players will work on individual skills such as
skating, passing, shooting, and stick handling. The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena
offers a rental program that allows players to rent the gear free of charge. The
arena would like to thank each of the players and families who have donated the
gear that the players have out grown.
2008 Summer Youth Instructional Program
Competitive "Travel" Teams
These teams are designed for the advanced player who wants to travel in
order for the most competitive playing environment. These teams are sanctioned
by the CRHA and selected on a certain criteria determined by the coaches and
Hockey Director.
Stick Times
For players who want to improve their hockey skills on a weekly basis. During these
times players are able to practice shooting, passing, stick handling and skating
skills on their own in a safe and enjoyable environment.
- All Ages Invited
- No full ice scrimmages allowed
- Helmet, Gloves, Shin pads, and Elbow pad required
